Terms & conditions

Using our website, understanding our services and starting a conversation.

1. About Commerce Lane

This website is operated by Commerce Lane Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17521748. Our registered office is 73 Lower Sloane Street, London, SW1W 8DA. Contact office@commercelane.co.uk or 020 8191 4134.

2. Website information and client agreements

This website introduces our business services. Descriptions, examples and indicative prices are invitations to discuss your needs; they do not, by themselves, create a client engagement or reserve delivery capacity. Sending an enquiry does not commit either party to a project.

Paid services require a separate written agreement setting out the scope, deliverables, fees, payment stages, responsibilities, acceptance, support and termination arrangements. That agreement governs the engagement and takes priority over general website descriptions.

3. Our role and your approvals

Commerce Lane provides agreed development, configuration, integration, management and advice. We may administer specified accounts and liaise with providers under written authorisation. We remain responsible for the work we agree to perform.

Clients retain ownership and recovery access for their service accounts. They read and accept provider agreements, complete identity and business verification, and approve financial commitments. A technical-management arrangement does not give us unrestricted authority to sign agreements or make commitments in a client’s name.

Providers make their own approval and service decisions. We do not guarantee sales, profit, rankings, advertising results, licensing or provider approval. Application coordination is practical administrative support, not regulated legal, tax or financial advice.

4. Prices, allowances and renewals

Prices depend on scope and are shown excluding VAT, which is added only where applicable. The 90-Day Commerce Plan indicative price bands apply to that scoped plan; other services are quoted individually.

Your quotation identifies included services, any advertising budget, initial domain or hosting period, supplier charges and recurring fees. Initial allowances do not cover unlimited future costs. Clients are responsible for agreed provider renewals; any renewal-management task we undertake is specified separately. Additional work requires an agreed change to scope and price.

5. Content, ownership and acceptable use

Website content and branding belong to Commerce Lane or their respective rights holders. You may view and refer to the site for legitimate business purposes. Other use must respect applicable intellectual-property rights and any required permissions. Do not imply our endorsement without permission.

Do not misuse the site, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person or interfere with its operation. Please report suspected security issues privately. Enquiries do not transfer ownership of your materials; do not send passwords, recovery codes or unnecessary sensitive information.

Ownership and licensing of client deliverables and reusable software are agreed separately. Client ownership of a provider account does not itself determine ownership of the software.

6. Availability, links and responsibility

We aim to keep information accurate and useful, but it may change or contain errors. Confirm any detail important to a decision with us. We do not promise uninterrupted website availability. Linked providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

Nothing in these website terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing here overrides rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Service-specific responsibilities and any lawful liability limits belong in the client agreement.

7. Privacy, questions and updates

Read our privacy notice and cookie information for details about this website. Contact us with questions or complaints so we can investigate. We may update these website terms; the date shown on this page identifies this version. Updating the website does not amend an existing client agreement.
